In January 1945, deep behind Japanese lines on the island of Luzon, more than 500 American prisoners of war remain trapped in the brutal Cabanatuan prison camp. Fearing the prisoners will be massacred before liberation arrives, the U.S. Army launches one of the most daring rescue missions of the Second World War.
