Wedding In A Pandemic - Parshat Tazria/Metzora

For centuries, the skin disease known as Tzarat mentioned in this week's parsha Tazria has been translated as 'leprosy'. If Tzarat really was leprosy, how could the Torah allow people rub shoulders at a wedding if the groom had leprosy?
