Richard H. Roberts, M.D., Ph.D. gives updates from the front lines in the fight against coronavirus from doctors and nurses across multiple hospitals and states. Early experience with the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine is reported as well as what is happening inside FDA. Information is provided on physicians and nurses who are falling ill with coronavirus as well as an example of fake news trying to dismiss the severity of this situation. Covid-19, the current disease from this strain of coronavirus, originated in China but the experience in Western countries shows some differences from the Chinese reports. Dr. Roberts is the former President and CEO of a pharmaceutical company for 24 years. He received his medical degree, and doctorate in biophysics, from the University of Pennsylvania, did an internship in Internal Medicine at Harvard, then joined the pharmaceutical industry for 24 years where his company manufactured, at its peak, 2.4 billion tablets and capsules annually.
