Spring Valley Police responded to the scene of a vehicle that had crashed into a hydrant

Early this morning, Spring Valley Police responded to the scene of a vehicle that had crashed into a hydrant at the corner of Prospect Street and Ewing Avenue. Upon arrival, they were shocked to find the car still in drive with the drunk driver slumped over the wheel. After repeated attempts to wake him failed, officers broke the window to stop the vehicle and arrested the driver.
